Grant Accessibility, once
Gridly opens the right pane of System Settings for you. Tick Gridly there and the menu bar stops saying “not authorized”. macOS offers no other way for one app to move another app’s window, which is why every tool in this category has to ask.

Arrange one window — or the rest
The gesture stays small: title-bar swipe on a trackpad or Magic Mouse. 12-column widths, multi-window layouts, undo, motion, and themes are there when you want them.
Halves, quarters, and every corner
One direction places a half; add another direction for a corner quarter. Keep turning clockwise or anticlockwise and the window walks through all four corners.
12-column width
Keep the gesture sideways and the window stays against its starting edge while its width steps one column at a time on a 12-column grid — half first, then down to 1/12, then grow or shrink as you need. The same columns work in the corners.
Maximize, restore, minimize
Swipe up twice to maximize, down twice to restore or centre at your chosen size, and down a third time to minimize into the Dock.
Fill the rest of the screen
After you place one window, Gridly can fill the open space with recently used windows or let you choose one for each position. It stays off until you enable it.
Preview first, then glide into place
A theme-coloured preview follows your fingers. Release, and the window glides to its destination. Turn motion off anytime; macOS Reduce Motion is respected.
Five themes
Choose Gridly orange, graphite, blue, green, or purple. The interface, window preview, and installed app icon all follow your theme.
Esc puts it back
Press Esc within five seconds to put every window Gridly just moved back where it was — including filled or minimized windows. Manual picking steps back one position at a time.
At home on every display
Layouts stay on the display where the window already is and work around the menu bar and Dock. Gridly lives in the menu bar and speaks seven languages.

Keep reference beside the work
Stay horizontal to place a half, then keep swiping to pick any share from 1/12 to full — a slim reference pane beside a wide editor, without lifting your fingers.
Build a full workspace in one move
Place one window, then let recent windows fill the space or choose each one yourself. Hovering a candidate dims the rest of the screen so you can see exactly which window it is.
Change your mind without rebuilding
Keep turning to move around the corners, swipe down again to minimize, or press Esc within five seconds to undo the windows Gridly just moved.

What happens after you pay
No account is created at any point in this.

An email arrives
Your license key and a one-click activation link are sent to the address you entered at checkout, usually within a few minutes. If nothing arrives after 10 minutes, check your spam folder first; if it still has not arrived after 30 minutes, write to us.

You click it once
The link opens Gridly and activates it. If your browser refuses to launch apps, that same page also shows the full key — paste it into Gridly → License and the result is identical.

You keep that email
Reinstalling macOS, erasing the disk, or restoring from a backup on the same Mac does not use another activation; the original license email is all you need to activate again. One license activates one Mac and cannot be moved once bound. If a repair changes that Mac’s device identifier, email us and we will sort it out.

Frequently asked
Why does it need Accessibility permission?
macOS only lets apps with Accessibility permission read and modify other apps’ windows. Gridly uses it to work out which window is under your fingers and to move that window — nothing else. Without it, the menu bar shows “not authorized” and the gesture does nothing.
Will it clash with my current window manager?
Usually not. Gridly registers no global shortcuts; it only watches for title-bar swipes — two fingers on a trackpad, or one finger on a Magic Mouse — which is a different path from shortcut-based or drag-to-edge tools.
Why will some windows not snap?
Certain system windows, apps already in full screen, and windows that are not resizable cannot be moved or resized by macOS at all. Gridly skips those.
Does it support Intel Macs?
Yes. A universal binary covers both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and it requires macOS 14.0 or later.
How do I activate it? What if I lose the key?
After payment, your license key and a one-click activation link are emailed to the address you entered at checkout. The key is paired with that address, so use one you actually read. One license activates one Mac and cannot be moved once bound. If a repair changes that Mac’s device identifier, email us and we will sort it out.
What does the one-time purchase cover?
Every future update is included, including future major versions. No subscription, nothing to renew.
Do you collect my data?
Gridly has no account and does not upload window contents or interaction history. Window positions and sizes stay on your Mac. Update checks make an ordinary network request; the server converts the request IP into a non-reversible fingerprint that lasts only for that day, used to estimate active installations anonymously. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How does the 14-day trial work?
Every gesture is unlocked for 14 calendar days, counted from the first time you open Gridly on that Mac — not from the days you actually use it. When the time is up the gestures stop and the menu bar says why. Nothing else about your Mac changes and nothing is uninstalled. Deleting the app and installing it again does not reset the clock.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Submit a refund request within 14 days of purchase by writing to support@yangbyte.com. Creem returns the payment to the original method. If something is wrong, you can also contact us first and we will help you sort it out.
